With the new event series »Lohrmanns meets Science«, the brewery is becoming a platform for exciting scientific insights, interactive discussions and convivial Sundays in a unique atmosphere.
As a spin-off of the Technical University of Dresden, Lohrmanns Brew combines craftsmanship with research. Now it goes one step further and invites scientists, founders and experts to share their findings with guests – in an understandable, entertaining way and in the middle of the brewery. With »Lohrmanns meets Science«, Germany’s first spin-off university brewery becomes a place for knowledge transfer, new perspectives and enjoyable experiences with real added value.
A special beer tasting with TU Dresden professors Jan J. Weigand and Thomas Henle will kick off the event on April 6 at 11:00 am. Under the title »Tasting the Science of Beer«, guests can expect a chemical and sensory journey through the world of malt, yeast and hops aromas and can look forward to a great program with a tasting of 5 beers and accompanying delicacies such as veal sausage with sweet mustard and pretzels.
