News : New event series »Lohrmanns meets Science« – A beer that creates knowledge.

With the new event series »Lohr­manns meets Sci­ence«, the bre­wery is beco­ming a plat­form for exci­ting sci­en­ti­fic insights, inter­ac­tive dis­cus­sions and con­vi­vial Sun­days in a uni­que atmosphere.
As a spin-off of the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­sity of Dres­den, Lohr­manns Brew com­bi­nes craft­sman­ship with rese­arch. Now it goes one step fur­ther and invi­tes sci­en­tists, foun­ders and experts to share their fin­dings with guests – in an under­stan­da­ble, enter­tai­ning way and in the middle of the bre­wery. With »Lohr­manns meets Sci­ence«, Ger­many’s first spin-off uni­ver­sity bre­wery beco­mes a place for know­ledge trans­fer, new per­spec­ti­ves and enjoya­ble expe­ri­en­ces with real added value. 

Formats of the series:

• Sci­ence Stan­dUp: Rese­ar­chers bring their topics to the stage – exci­ting, com­pact and interactive.
• Sci­ence Table Talks: Open dis­cus­sion rounds on cur­rent social issues – every opi­nion counts!
• Sci­ence Polo­naise: Young sci­en­tists pre­sent their pro­jects in a rela­xed atmosphere.

Premiere: Scientific beer tasting on April 6 – »Tasting the Science of Beer.«

A spe­cial beer tasting with TU Dres­den pro­fes­sors Jan J. Weig­and and Tho­mas Henle will kick off the event on April 6 at 11:00 am. Under the title »Tasting the Sci­ence of Beer«, guests can expect a che­mi­cal and sen­sory jour­ney through the world of malt, yeast and hops aro­mas and can look for­ward to a great pro­gram with a tasting of 5 beers and accom­pany­ing deli­ca­cies such as veal sau­sage with sweet mus­tard and pretzels.
