Professor Jürgen Weber, Professor of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems Engineering at TU Dresden and Head of the GWT Innovation Center Fluid-Mechatronic Systems Engineering, was awarded the Joseph Bramah Medal 2022 for outstanding contributions to fluid technology and mechatronics.
Since 1968, the IMechE’s Mechatronics, Computer Science and Control Engineering Section has awarded this prize annually for outstanding achievements in the field of hydraulics.
As head of the GWT Innovation Center Fluid-Mechatronic Systems Technology, Professor Weber cooperates closely with companies, manufacturers and users of fluid technology components. His institute offers students a sound education in fundamentals and practice and is one of the largest trainers of master’s and doctoral students in fluid technology in Europe. With over 250 publications in the last 10 years, Prof. Weber has made a decisive contribution to research in this field.
