News : DIU donation for the fight against multiple sclerosis

The dona­tion directly sup­ports the fur­ther edu­ca­tion and trai­ning work as well as the inno­va­tive rese­arch in the field of mul­ti­ple scle­ro­sis of the Cen­ter for Cli­ni­cal Neu­ro­sci­en­ces at the Uni­ver­sity Hos­pi­tal Dres­den. The dona­tion check was pre­sen­ted by Prof. Dr. Hans Mül­ler-Stein­ha­gen, Pre­si­dent of DIU, to Dr. Andreas Sperl and Mr. Hans­jörg König from the Stif­tung Hoch­schul­me­di­zin Dres­den in the pre­sence of Prof. Dr. Tjalf Ziems­sen, Direc­tor of the Cen­ter for Cli­ni­cal Neu­ro­sci­en­ces, at DIU’s pre­mi­ses in Dres­den’s World Trade Cen­ter.

Since 2019, DIU has been working clo­sely with the Cen­ter for Cli­ni­cal Neu­ro­sci­ence led by Prof. Ziems­sen. Tog­e­ther, they suc­cee­ded in deve­lo­ping a new degree pro­gram – the part-time Mas­ter of Sci­ence in Mul­ti­ple Scle­ro­sis Manage­ment – in 2020, which has since been suc­cessfully con­duc­ted in Ger­man at DIU. At the end of the year, the course will be inter­na­tio­na­li­zed in close coope­ra­tion with the Euro­pean Char­cot Foun­da­tion, so that in the future MS pro­fes­sio­nals world­wide can be trai­ned in a struc­tu­red, aca­de­mic and prac­ti­cal man­ner to become MS specialists.
