As one of 18 initial partners, we are driving structural change in Lusatia. The DIU is carrying out the »BLAU« (Blended Learning in Lusatia) sub-project. It aims to establish blended learning offers in Lusatia and thus bring the campus to learners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
During the project period from 2024 to 2026, we aim to design, develop and implement blended learning programs in the form of continuing education courses for professionals and small and medium-sized enterprises in the Lusatia region.
Background to the »Syntral« project
Modern lightweight system construction is one of the key technologies for the increasingly important circular economy. The »syntral« transfer room is intended to design, develop and test new methods and low-threshold offers for the transfer of know-how to the economy of Upper Lusatia. In this way, the unique knowledge of the universities and research institutes will help to create high-quality, long-term stable and value-adding jobs for companies in the region. The Transferraum focuses in particular on plastics and metal processing companies with their more than 60,000 jobs in Saxony. In terms of methodology, »syntral« initially relies on multipliers and associations to initiate an open, cross-company, pre-competitive and synergetic exchange of ideas and experience in new transfer formats. The spectrum ranges from new, digitalized forms of education and training to targeted personal development and cooperative real-world laboratories. Organizationally, »syntral« is based on the many years of experience of the selected partners, who have initiated and implemented a variety of transfer formats and clusters at national and international level.
The T!Raum initiative »syntral« aims to transfer the expertise available in the participating research institutions in the field of modern lightweight system construction into industrial value creation in the Upper Lusatia region. The focus is on the transfer of existing regional technologies and innovations in lightweight system construction and the circular economy, with a particular focus on small and micro enterprises. The initiative is to become a central location for networking established, existing and new transfer formats as well as for communication between science, business and society.
T!Raum« program lines: TransferSpaces for the future of regions
The »syntral« project is an exciting step for DIU to contribute its educational and innovation expertise to the Lusatia region and thereby support structural change.
We look forward to actively shaping the development and implementation of these initiatives in the coming years and making a positive contribution to regional development.
