I have been working on issues rela\u00adting to the use of hydro\u00adgen tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies in the con\u00adtext of the energy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion for over thirty years. We focus on safety stra\u00adte\u00adgies for the use of hydro\u00adgen in a non-indus\u00adtrial envi\u00adron\u00adment and on sel\u00adec\u00adted tech\u00adni\u00adcal inno\u00adva\u00adtions for elec\u00adtro\u00adly\u00adsers. For the lat\u00adter, we use spe\u00adcial laser tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies to modify the reac\u00adtive sur\u00adfaces of elec\u00adtro\u00adly\u00adzers in such a way that their effec\u00adti\u00adve\u00adness is impro\u00adved and their ser\u00advice life exten\u00added. As dif\u00adfe\u00adrent as the two topics sound, they both have one goal: to make hydro\u00adgen available to the eco\u00adnomy chea\u00adply, relia\u00adbly and safely. Both prio\u00adri\u00adties also require a deeper under\u00adstan\u00adding of the role of hydro\u00adgen as an energy sto\u00adrage medium in a future world domi\u00adna\u00adted by elec\u00adtri\u00adcity. Based on this work, I find it very inte\u00adres\u00adt\u00ading to pass on know\u00adledge and dis\u00adcuss cur\u00adrent issues with the stu\u00addents. In the best sense, tea\u00adching is not just a one-way street, but a crea\u00adtive dia\u00adlog. I find it fasci\u00adna\u00adting to be able to make a con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion to this. <\/p>\n
The \u00bbHydro\u00adgen Tech\u00adno\u00adlogy and Eco\u00adno\u00admics\u00ab Master\u2019s degree pro\u00adgram at DIU is desi\u00adgned to appeal pri\u00adma\u00adrily to peo\u00adple who alre\u00adady have pro\u00adfes\u00adsio\u00adnal expe\u00adri\u00adence and would now like to expand and deepen their spe\u00adcia\u00adlist know\u00adledge in this field. This is cer\u00adtainly a chall\u00adenge, as we natu\u00adrally want to ensure that the lec\u00adtures, semi\u00adnars and prac\u00adti\u00adcal cour\u00adses on offer are con\u00adsis\u00adt\u00adently inte\u00adres\u00adt\u00ading and ins\u00adtruc\u00adtive for ever\u00adyone. We have the\u00adr\u00ade\u00adfore desi\u00adgned the course con\u00adtent in such a way that both suf\u00adfi\u00adci\u00adent basic know\u00adledge is impar\u00adted and highly inte\u00adres\u00adt\u00ading, up-to-date rese\u00adarch results are pre\u00adsen\u00adted in a clear man\u00adner. The sel\u00adec\u00adtion of lec\u00adtu\u00adr\u00aders was cho\u00adsen spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adcally to ensure that this is suc\u00adcessful. On the other hand, the diver\u00adsity of the stu\u00addents also pro\u00advi\u00addes a uni\u00adque oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity to learn from each other\u2019s expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adces in an open and crea\u00adtive exch\u00adange of ideas.
