Under his lea\u00adder\u00adship, DIU has made signi\u00adfi\u00adcant pro\u00adgress in tea\u00adching, rese\u00adarch and inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adna\u00adliza\u00adtion. Most recently, he accom\u00adpa\u00adnied the res\u00adtruc\u00adtu\u00adring of DIU tog\u00ade\u00adther with Mana\u00adging Direc\u00adtor Dr. Merle&nbsp;Emre.<\/p>\n<p>DIU employees describe Prof. Funk as warm, very know\u00adled\u00adgeable, and always in a good mood. He always meets all peo\u00adple at eye level. His exper\u00adtise and excep\u00adtio\u00adnal com\u00admit\u00adment have left their mark on DIU.
